ROAD SURFACE WETNESS DETERMINATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road surface wetness determination method capable of correctly determining dryness and wetness even in minute rainfall. SOLUTION: A heat quantity flowing in the road surface from the atmosphere is found by using a meteorological sensor comprising a thermometer, a hygrometer and the like. The heat quantity flowing in the road surface is found from a measured underground temperature. Dryness or wetness is determined by comparing both the heat quantities flowing in the road surface with each other, and from a rain amount measured by a precipitation detector for detecting minute rainfall or by a hyetometer.
