PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an image signal capable of applying a suitable impression to a viewer by dealing with various photographing environments or photographing conditions and various photographing devices or image signal generators and applying prescribed image processing to the image signal presenting an image photographed under a plurality of light sources by a simple and versatile means. SOLUTION: In an image recorder 1, a control part 7 estimates an area where environmental light and flash light are intermixed and a degree of mixture in that mixing area on the basis of photographing information (tag information) corresponding to the read image and detects an area in which the degree of mixing is equal to or higher than prescribed. Further, when a flesh color is contained in the detected area, the control part 7 determines color correction conditions for that area. On the basis of information obtained by the estimation, the control part 7 determines the contents of image processing to be applied to image data and applies the image processing.
