PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct-current superconductive cable easy to take measures to absorb contraction during cooling without complication of a cooling system. SOLUTION: The direct-current superconductive cable is made by twisting three wires of cable cores 20 and laying it in a thermal insulation tube 10. Each wires of the cores 20 comprises a former 21, a superconductor 22 and an insulation layer 23, respectively from the center. Since three wires of cores are twisted, a structure to absorb contraction during cooling is easily realized by controlling the strength of twisting, which also simplifies the cooling system because the three cores are cooled as a whole in the thermal insulation tube.
