PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-durability case for a folding portable terminal device at a low cost. SOLUTION: The case for a portable terminal is provided with a first case body in which a liquid crystal device is housed, and a second case body in which a control device is housed. The first case body and the second case body are coupled by a hinge mechanism in a foldable manner. The first case body is formed by combining a case half body A and a case half body B. The case half body A is formed with an opening through which the liquid crystal screen of the liquid crystal device can be viewed. The case half body A is composed of a metallic case reinforcing body which is composed of a plate provided with a bearing at its end and an opening corresponding to the above opening and a resin case half body which is molded integrally with the case reinforcing body.
