PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel with high brightness and high luminous efficiency and capable of stable discharge, and to provide a display device using the same. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel has: pairs of display electrodes 41, 42 in parallel with each other on the inner surface of one of a pair of substrates binding a discharge space; and address electrodes crossing the pairs of display electrodes 41, 42, partitions partitioning the discharge space into unit luminous regions, and phosphor bodies emitting light by discharge, on the inner surface of the other of the pair of substrates. The pair of display electrodes 41, 42 form a discharge gap of 0.2 mm or more, and a plurality of float electrodes 61 are formed between pairs of electrodes 41, 42, to prevent the discharge from flickering and mis-occurring.
