PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for winding in which quality of salient-pole rotor where an enamel round wire is series-wound is stabilized, and to provide a smaller salient-pole rotor for good workability in production. SOLUTION: A winding apparatus is provided for salient-pole rotor in which an enamel round wire is series-wound around the salient-pole of a rotor core. It comprises a tension variable apparatus which changes the tension of enamel round wire during winding, and a tension control apparatus which controls the tension variable apparatus. So stress applied to an enamel coat from a nozzle that delivers the enamel round wire is reduced for stable quality. Since a plurality of enamel round wires are series-wound simultaneously, a smaller salient-pole rotor of high workability in manufacturing is presented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
