PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network facsimile apparatus capable of reducing a storage capacity required for storing color image data. SOLUTION: Since RGB color image data are JBIG encoded for respective RGB color components and stored, a data capacity required in an image storage means is reduced. Also, in the case that an opposite terminal is a facsimile apparatus and can receive only black and white image, since binary image information is created on the basis of the stored color image data of the G color component, a processing amount in creating the binary image information from the color image data is suppressed and communication time is shortened.
