FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame with built-in drive adapted for reciprocating brush unit along pipe, and device adapted for rotational-progressive displacement of pipe. Brush unit is mounted inside dust collector communicated with vacuum cleaner. Brushes are made disk-like and adapted for embracing part of pipe outer surface to be cleaned. Brushes are arranged at both sides of rotating toothed roller during progressive advancement of pipe. Toothed roller is put on shaft, which is single for disk-like brushes, transverse to axis of pipe under cleaning process and is designed for urging brush unit to vibrate. Dust collector is pivotally connected to drive plate and pneumatic cylinder through leverage for biasing disk-like brushes and toothed roller to surface of pipe under cleaning process. Apparatus is used for fine cleaning of pipe outer surface from dust, in particular, to prepare pipe outer surface for applying isolating coating or for painting.
