PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pseudo eyesight forming device that can easily form a pseudo eyesight which does not become an obstacle to the visibility of an actual field of view and from which various flying conditions of its own airplane and obstructions can be grasped. SOLUTION: A plurality of virtual cylindrical surfaces are supposed around the head 28 of the pilot by changing the radii of the cylindrical surfaces, in accordance with the forward and backward components of the head 28 at the flying speed of the airplane based on the information on obstacles, the airplane, and the head 28. Then a plurality of ridgelines of an obstacle is found from the lines of intersection between the virtual cylindrical surfaces and the surface of the obstacle and a pseudo eyesight image containing the ridgelines of the obstacle is generated. The generated image is displayed by means of a displaying means 15. In addition, one or a plurality of virtual symbols is fixedly supposed on the obstacle at a fixed density, and the virtual symbols are displayed together with the ridgelines of the obstacle.
