PURPOSE: Provided is a method for preparing microparticles of crystalline perovskite compound, particularly crystalline barium titanate microparticles by a continuous process, at a low cost with a high productivity. CONSTITUTION: The method uses a continuous tubular reactor maintained at a temperature of 70-120 deg.C by heating with circulated steam or oil and at an average reactant retention time of 1-1000 minutes, the reaction conditions being maintained constantly. The method comprises the step of adding to the flow of 1-10 moles of solution of an alkali metal hydroxide such as potassium hydroxide or sodium hydroxide, solution of a mixed metal salt consisting of 0.2-1.0 moles of A ion selected from the group consisting of magnesium, calcium, barium and strontium ions, and 0.1-1.0 moles of B ion selected from the group consisting of titanium, zirconium and tin ions to form microparticles of crystalline perovskite compound represented by the formula of ABO3, wherein A is magnesium, calcium, barium or strontium; and B is titanium, zirconium or tin.
