PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden on an operator so as to enhance the operating efficiency of a metering and counting operation by a method wherein many hoppers in a combined metering and counting apparatus are carried, cleaned and stored safely, cleanly and easily so as to connect a plurality of hoppers together. SOLUTION: Each hole 30 is formed in the upper part of a flat circumferential wall 5b of each hopper 5. By using the hole 30, a plurality of hoppers 5, 5 are gripped collectively by hands in a stable posture so as to be carried easily by being suspended by a jig J without coming into contact with a part of the hopper 5 with which a product comes into contact. As a result, even when many hoppers 5 and so on are provided at the combined metering and counting apparatus, the number of times in which the operator goes back and forth between an installation place of an apparatus mainframe and a cleaning place or a storage place of the hoppers 5 and so on is reduced as far as possible, a movement line of the operator becomes short, the burden on the operator is reduced, and the operating efficiency of the metering and counting operation is enhanced.
