PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate shrinks or to prevent generation of shrinks as little as possible in the thin plate part of a blank at the difference-in-level position of a die, in press forming the blank integrally composed of a thin and thick plates. SOLUTION: This is a press forming device for press-forming the blank integrally composed of the thin and thick plates through a difference in level. The upper and lower faces of one press forming die are continued through the inclined difference in level. When, for example, A is a difference in thickness between the thin and thick plates of the blank and B is a distance between the upper and lower faces of the die, the inclined difference in level is formed so as to fulfill A≥B. In the press forming process, the difference in level of the blank is lowered along that of the die and, after the press forming process for example, is situated above the difference in level of the die.
