PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical press in which the posterior waist length of the mechanical press is lowly controlled and no inconvenience in terms of press working is observed. SOLUTION: A slide guide mechanism is provided on an adjust member at its upper side; and a position adjustment mechanism is provided at the lower side. Namely, a mechanism for converting the rotational motion of the eccentric section of a crankshaft into reciprocating linear motion and a mechanism for so called slide adjustment is provided on the adjust member at its upper and lower side.
