PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing device electrode exhibiting a high crushing ability by effectively utilizing a fed power and realizing a long life, and a crushing device. SOLUTION: The electrode 1, i.e., the crushing device electrode is the one for generating discharge and provided with a center electrode 12 and an outer periphery electrode 14. At least any one of the center electrode 12 and the outer electrode 14 contains at least one selected from the group of niobium, tantalum, titanium, gallium, zirconium, tin and an alloy thereof.
