PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removable medium mail notification system that can manage the location of a removable medium owned, without a troublesome act of making a note and without the configuration of a large scale system with a special device management server installed in a network. SOLUTION: The removable medium mail notification system is constituted by including a means for detecting mounting of a portable storage medium and a portable storage device, a means for reading out data on an owner stored in the portable storage medium and portable storage device, a means for mailing a notification via an email function, a means for receiving the notification via the email function, and a means for accessing a database function upon the borrower's mail.
