摘要 PURPOSE: A solar cell and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to be capable of reducing the stress of the top and bottom portion of a reverse pyramid type structure. CONSTITUTION: A reverse pyramid type structure is formed at one surface of a silicon substrate(21) by carrying out a photolithography process. A pn junction is formed on the resultant structure. Then, a front and rear electrode(24,25) are formed at the upper and lower portion of the resultant structure, respectively. A top and bottom portion of the reverse pyramid type structure is roundly formed by carrying out an etching process using a sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide solution of 10-40 weight% before the pn junction forming step. Preferably, the silicon substrate is made of single or polycrystalline silicon.
