PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for packaging a heat-developable photographic sensitive material by which temporal preservability is improved and high contract and high quality image reproducibility is obtained. SOLUTION: In the method for packaging the heat-developable photographic sensitive material obtained by winding a heat-developable photographic sensitive material having on a support a photosensitive layer comprising organic silver salt grains, silver halide grains, a contrast enhancer and a reducing agent and a non-photosensitive layer on a cylindrical core member in a roll shape, both ends of the core member are covered with light shielding flanges appressed to the ends, a light shielding polymer resin leader having a length≥1.5 times the outer circumferential length of the roll and a moisture permeability of≤10×10<SP>-5</SP>g/Pa.m<SP>2</SP>.25°C.day is connected to the outermost edge of the heat- developable photographic sensitive material and the light shielding polymer resin leader is wound on the roll in such a way as to cover the roll.
