PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment which is provided with functions of notification and warning to a user, to notify the user of the states of the parts installed and the electronic equipment, and to effectively notify and warn the user so that he/she can correctly recognize the contents. SOLUTION: According to the digital camera 1 relating to this invention, a CPU 11a refers to a sound generation table 200 when an operation signal is inputted from an operation part 21, and when it judges that the operation is the one made corresponding to the sound generation pattern in the sound generation table 200, it detects the installation of a memory card 17. Then, the CPU 11a conducts sound generation from a sound source part 22 in the tone color corresponding to the installation state of the memory card and in the sound generation pattern corresponding to the operation.
