PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submarine sound monitoring system of high secrecy. SOLUTION: The submarine sound monitoring system is provided with an echo sounder transmitter (1) for outputting a sound wave (3) in water, echo sounder receivers (2-1 to 2-n) which are bodies different from the transmitter (1) and installed in the water so as to face the transmitter (1), and central equipment (5). On the basis of sound wave received by the receivers (2-1 to 2-n), the central equipment (5) detects an object (6) in the water positioning between the transmitter (1) and the receivers (2-1 to 2-n).
