WIRE SAW AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeposition wire saw of abrasive grain distribution at a low density and a wire saw manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This wire saw manufacturing method comprises a abrasive grain deposition step of depositing abrasive grains on an outer circumferential surface of a long wire-like body by allowing the long wire-like body to travel in an electrodeposition solution having a abrasive grain settling area with abrasive grains dispersed and settled, and an abrasive grain electrodeposition step of performing electrodeposition of the abrasive grains deposited on the outer circumferential surface in the abrasive grain deposition step on the outer circumferential surface. The feed of a slurry containing abrasive grains to be fed to the abrasive grain settling area is controlled so that abrasive grains are distributed at a desired density on the outer circumferential surface of the long wire-like body in the abrasive grain deposition step.
