PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine in which novel game features are created by generating a special game status such as AT (assist time) regardless of occurrence of BB (big bonus), or the like. SOLUTION: This slot machine is provided with a variable display device having a plurality of variable display parts on which a display status is variable. When one game ends in association with stopped display of a variable display game which is played on the plurality of variable display parts and the stopped display results on the plurality of variable display parts become a prescribed display mode, prescribed prize-winning is established. The slot machine is equipped with a time measuring means for measuring a prescribed time and a special game status occurrence control means for generating the special game status advantageous to a player. The special game status occurrence control means is provided with a special game occurrence time control means for generating the special game status during the prescribed time measured by the time measuring means.
