PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method, an image processing apparatus, and an image processing program in which RAW image data are efficiently processed in a short time. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is constituted by including an input/output interface 1, a control part 2, a storage part 3, a display part 4 and an operation part 5 and the control part 2 includes a reduction part 21 and a conversion part 22. The reduction part 21 reduces the input RAW data, and the conversion part 22 converts the reduced image data based upon a picture quality control parameter inputted from the outside. At such a time, an image based on the converted reduced image is displayed on the display part 4. When the reduced image data are completely converted, the image converting part applies the same image conversion as the image conversion applied to the reduced image data to the input RAW image data.
