PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable telephone terminal equipment capable of reducing artificial errors at transmitting or receiving a call. SOLUTION: An ID judgment part 13 reads out ID registered in an address book from an ID storage part 14 and judges whether the read ID coincides with received ID or not. When both the ID numbers coincide with each other, a registered name reading part 15 reads out 'registered name' corresponding to 'registered ID' from a registered name storage part 16 and stores the read 'registered name' in 'name $'. A duplicate flag judgment part 17 reads out 'duplicate flag' corresponding to the 'registered ID' from a duplicate flag storage part 18, and when duplication exists, an LCD control part 19 changes the background color of a display to display the name 'name $' on an LCD 20.
