PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard satellite signal receiver with a simple configuration capable of obtaining a C/N of a prescribed value even when a vehicle largely moves in the north and south direction. SOLUTION: The onboard satellite signal receiver includes: a plurality of antennas 1, 21 whose elevating angle with respect to a satellite differs from each other and which are turned so that the horizontal directivity is directed in the direction of the satellite; a BS tuner 34 receiving satellite signals received by the antennas 1, 21, a plurality of C/N detection means 5a, 25a for respectively detecting the C/N of each satellite signal; and a signal switching means 33, and the satellite signal received by the antenna whose C/N is greater is given to the BS tuner 34 via the signal switching means 33.
