PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap capable of forming complete round shape pearl between a shell rear face and a mantle, and a formation method of cultured pearl using the same.SOLUTION: A pearl formation cap X for closing holes of pearl oysters having holes opened in shells is configured that: a flange part 20 which is an outer peripheral face of a rear face is formed into a planar or curved face in contact with surrounding of the holes of the shell surfaces; a dent 40 which becomes dent toward a surface side relative to the outer peripheral face is formed on a center of the rear face; an inside of the dent 40 is formed of a material to which mother of pearl hardly adheres. In formation of cultured pearl, a nucleus for pearl deposition is put into the dent 40 and is fixed in a state in which the holes of the pearl oysters are closed with the pearl formation cap X, and the pearl oysters in this state are cultured in water.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
