<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in the present delivery/distribution of an electronic publication, a different protection method is used depending on its reproducing software, and since the protection method in the delivery/distribution is insufficient, it is necessary to protect a program against use regulation information such as contents of publication desired by a delivery side, accounting to a user, a time, a period of time, and a frequency. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of electronic publications are enciphered and written to a dummy file to be collectively protected, and they can be reproduced by an exclusive software or a software suitable for uses. Various control information pieces (e.g. a limit of frequency, a use period, a use time limit and an accounting system)are enciphered and set with the publications in the dummy digital file, whereby limitations on various uses to a user can be set, and also the contents of the publications can't be copied and the alteration of settings of the various limit information pieces can't be made. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
