<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a unit adder by which the propagation of a carry signal across a multistage is restrained. <P>SOLUTION: This unit adder adds two of three-value signature digit numbers. In addition, the adder is provided with branch points V1, A1, A2 and A3 having three branching destinations and output nodes B1, B2, B3, B4 and B5. The branching destination of the branch point V1 is decided by a signature digit number A, the branching destinations of the branch points A1, A2 and A3 are decided by a signature digit number B, and a path, leading to one of the output nodes B1, B2, B3, B4 and B5 from the branch point V1, is decided by the signature digit numbers A and B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
