The present invention relates to a novel article of clothing for sun protection and ventilation, which comprises an upper fabric layer disposed on top of a lower layer fabric, each layer being formed by a plurality of parallel longitudinal warp threads interwoven with a plurality of perpendicular weft threads that define square open spaces (gaps). The open spaces (gaps) of the upper fabric layer are concealed by the plurality of parallel longitudinal warp threads and/or the plurality of perpendicular weft threads of the lower fabric layer, and vice versa, the upper and lower fabric layers being joined together only in the peripheral areas which define the seams that give the article of clothing shape. The article of clothing thus made serves as a blocking system for inhibiting the incidence of sun rays directly on the human body while simultaneously creating a ventilation system by allowing the free passage of air, enabling a space to be made between both layers and ventilating underneath or inside the garment towards the body, thereby cooling same with air at a lower ambient temperature. |
