<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice communication fluctuation absorber which ensures continuity and articulation of a conversation and allows a smooth conversation. <P>SOLUTION: When transmitting a voice signal from an IP network 1 to a terminal device 6 such as a typical analog telephone within a voice-based network, an output voice packet from the IP network 1 is transmitted to the voice communication fluctuation absorber 40. The voice packet transmitted to the fluctuation absorber 40 is stored in a LAN control section 43, and voice data is retrieved from the voice packet and is written to an FIFO receive buffer 45. When the voice data accumulated in the receive buffer 45 is beyond a fixed volume, the receive buffer outputs a detection signal S45 of "1". When a mute pattern detection section 48 detects a predetermined mute state in the accumulated voice data in the receive buffer 45, the detection section outputs a detection signal S48 of "1", and a reset signal S49 of "1" output from an AND gate 49 resets the receive buffer 45 and the mute pattern detection section 48. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
