PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data retrieval system which does not make retrieval work complicated even if there are many entries in search conditions.

SOLUTION: The data retrieval system which searches desired data from data recorded in a database based on search conditions set up by a user is provided with a search index recording section 11 retaining description column information for indicating one or more description columns by entry to be used for searching among a plurality of description columns by entry for describing search conditions by search entry; a management data recording section 13; a search entries acquiring section 23 which displays one or more description columns shown by description column information and does not display description columns which is not shown by the description column information; a description column indication instruction section 24; and a description column indication section 43.
