<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-piece solid golf ball providing an extremely good feeling of hitting the ball when hitting and having excellent restitution performance and flying performance. <P>SOLUTION: This multi-piece solid golf ball comprises a core 4 comprising a center 1 and an intermediate layer 2, and a cover 3 of one layer or more formed on the core. The intermediate layer 2 has a thickness of 0.3-2.5 mm and a hardness of 50-75 Shore D.
