PURPOSE: A cold cathode fluorescent lamp is provided to improve the brightness of a lamp by increasing an amount of electron emission of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp. CONSTITUTION: A cold cathode fluorescent lamp comprises a glass tube(10), an encapsulation part(12), a lead wire(14), an electrode(16), and a stem(18). A mixing gas such as Hg, Ar, and Ne is filled into the inside of the glass tube and a phosphor material is deposited on the inside of the glass tube. The encapsulation part is mounted on both ends of the glass tube and seals the glass tube. The lead wire is passed through the encapsulation part and extended from the outside of the glass tube to the inside of the glass tube. The electrode is connected to an end of the lead wire at the inside of both ends of the glass tube. The stem covers the lead wire from the encapsulation part to the electrode at the inside of both ends of the glass tube. The electrode is extended from the center of an end connected to the lead wire to the inside wall of the glass tube. An electrode extension part(20) is formed at the inside wall of the glass tube.
