<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage battery with an excellent cooling effect, having gaps between a plurality of integrated cell chambers, an opening communicating with the gaps formed on the upper surface of a lid of the battery, and an gas discharge mechanism exhausting the air in the gaps from the opening, capable of sharply reducing the power consumption of the gas discharge mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: A relation of H/P<SP>3</SP>≤10 is fulfilled on condition that P (cm) is the distance between the gap between the cell chambers, and H (cm) is the distance from the upper surface of the lid on which, the opening is formed at the bottom surface of a battery case. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
