<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an one-way clutch, in which an outer race can be light-weighted while the durability of the contact surface between the outer race and rollers is secured. <P>SOLUTION: The one-way clutch is composed of an inner race 16, an outer race 15 surrounding the inner race 16, a plurality of rollers 20, which are inserted into spaces between the outer peripheral surface of the inner race 16 and a plurality of wedge surfaces 18a of the outer race 15 so as to face the outer peripheral surface of the inner race 16, and a spring 19 for urging each roller 20 in the direction for engaging with the wedge surface 18a. The outer race 15 is composed of an outer race body 17, which surrounds the inner race 16 and is made of light alloy, and roller supporting members 18, which have a wedge surface 18a and are arranged at a bottom part of a plurality of recesses 17a of the outer race body 17 and are harder than the outer race body 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
