PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a screen represent a dynamic image by displaying computer graphics with transparency at high speed even for an animation to a large-size CG.

SOLUTION: This image generation system includes; a background image storage means; a front image storage means; and an image synthesizing means for meshing the front image data and making it translucent. The image generation method includes; a step of reading out background image data displayed on the screen; a step of reading out the front image data superposed on the background image data and displayed on the screen; and a step of meshing the front image data and making the same translucent. The image generation program includes; a procedure of reading out the background image data; a procedure of reading out the front image data superposed on the background image data and displayed on the screen; and an image synthesis procedure of meshing the front image data and making the same translucent.
