<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing apparatus for a non-interlaced image for deciding a moving speed of an object to perform processing based upon the decision results without using a difference of image data of the object between frames, while using a small amount of data and through simple arithmetic processing. <P>SOLUTION: The processing apparatus for the non-interlaced image is provided with a wavelet transforming means for applying two-dimensional discrete wavelet transformation to data of the non-interlaced image formed from a series of interlaced images, and a decision means for dividing a wavelet coefficient of each of sub-bands obtained by the wavelet transforming means into code blocks each composed of a pixel matrix smaller than the sub-band, and deciding the moving speed of the object within the non-interlaced image for the unit of a code block based upon a coefficient value of each of code blocks in the sub-band of 1LH at least. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
