<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective drainage wrap for protecting intrusion of air and an increase in humidity into a building. <P>SOLUTION: This protective drainage wrap has a first portion 12, a second portion and a solid sheet portion. A material of both is composed of polyolefine, polyester, nylon or a combination of these. The first 12 has cross-woven fabric or a cross-laminate material in the mechane direction and in the transverse direction. The material in the mechane direction has a first thickness, and the material in the transverse direction has a second thickness, and the second thickness is at least about two times the first thickness. The first portion is a coating, and the first portion 12 and the second portion are mutually adjacently arranged.
