PURPOSE: An apparatus for filtering alkali solution in cold rolling pretreatment process is provided which enables complete filtering to be performed by removing foreign materials contained in alkali solution circulated using a plural filters and automatically cleaning and returning foreign material adhered filters during operation. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for filtering an alkali solution circulated so that the alkali solution is injected onto foreign materials on strip in the pretreatment process at a cold rolling plant to remove the foreign materials, the apparatus for filtering the alkali solution in cold rolling pretreatment process is characterized in that a plural half-moon shaped filters(4) are installed in a back and forth direction with being spaced apart from each other in a certain distance inside a box frame 1(1) at front and rear parts of which inlet(1-1) of the alkali solution and outlet(1-2) of the alkali solution are installed, the edge of the filters is fixed to spline shaft(5) so that the filters are moved into a box frame 2(2) according to rotation of the center of the spline shaft, the moved filters are returned to the box frame 1 to carry out filtering operation again after foreign materials accumulated on the front side of the filters are removed by cleaning water injected from nozzles(15) of pipes a plural of which are installed at left and right sides of guide of one or more of guide blocks(11) moved to the rear front side of the filters, and the filters are sequentially cleaned from the front side on and returned to the box frame 1 so that filtering operation is continuously performed.
