PURPOSE: A method for recording data in a black box device for a vehicle are provided to determine a reason of a traffic accident by recording data regarding a speed and acceleration of the vehicle in the black box device when vehicle collides with other vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A method for recording data in a black box device includes a step of determining whether or not a brake switch is operated when a vehicle travels(S20). If the brake switch is not operated when the vehicle travels, speed data of the vehicle supplied from a tachometer and acceleration data of the vehicle supplied from an acceleration detecting section are recorded in every first period of time(S10). If the brake switch is operated when the vehicle travels, speed data of the vehicle supplied from the tachometer and acceleration data of the vehicle supplied from the acceleration detecting section are recorded in the black box device in every second period of time(S30).
