PURPOSE: A brake system for a vehicle is provided to measure braking force transmitted to a guide rod and exactly control a motor by a control part according to the braking force measured. CONSTITUTION: A brake system for a vehicle includes a caliper housing(100); a fixed pad(110) fixed to the caliper housing; a motor(120) fixed in the caliper housing; a screw(122) formed to a rotating shaft of the motor; a piston(125) screwed to the rotating shaft, to slide right and left according to the rotation of the motor; a movable pad(115) installed opposite the fixed pad around a disk(200); a guide rod(130) fixed to the caliper housing; a support bracket(140) with a rod-receiving part(142) to make the guide rod slide; a pressure sensor(150) installed to the contacting surface of the guide rod and the rod-receiving part, to measure the force transmitted from the guide rod; and a control part receiving a signal from the pressure sensor and controlling the motor.
