<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine which makes performance whenever a game ball enters a start prize-winning port. <P>SOLUTION: The pinball game machine is provided with: a pattern display device 20; a winning random number obtaining means for obtaining a random number whenever the game ball enters the start prize-winning port 12; a random number discrimination means 624 for discriminating carrying out of a special game on the basis of a winning random number; a pattern control means 628 which variably displays a pattern on the pattern display device 20 on the basis of this discrimination result and thereafter stops and displays it; and a special game carrying out means 70 with which a big prize-winning port 13 is made easy for winning when the stop pattern is a winning pattern.
