<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment method which effectively removes a combustion exhaust gas containing SO<SB>3</SB>such as exhaust gas from a thermal power plant using heavy oil and prevents the corrosion of equipment installed in an exhaust gas channel and an apparatus for the method. <P>SOLUTION: In the method, particulate solid substances 13 (soot collected by a dust collector 4 etc.) or substances to be gas phase deposition nuclei for ammonium sulfate are injected from an ammonia injection line 11 installed in the exhaust gas channel in the upstream of the dust collector 4 into the exhaust gas with ammonia. When the substances 13 are injected into the line 11 and, after being accompanied by ammonia, injected into the exhaust gas, the ammonia can be can be adsorbed on the surfaces of the substances 13. Ammonium sulfate is easily deposited on the surfaces of the substances 13 with the ammonia adsorbed on the surfaces and easily grows up to be collected by the dust collector 4. Especially, when dust collected by the dust collector 4 is used as the substances 13 to be injected, since the dust has lots of surface pores, by making the dust be accompanied by ammonia, a large amount of ammonia is adsorbed on the surface of the dust, and a large effect is obtained to deposit ammonium sulfate on the surfaces. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
