PURPOSE: Provided is a rubber-modified polystyrene resin composition with flame retardancy and being environmentally friendly due to excluding the use of a halogen flame retardant. The composition has improved heat resistance, impact strength and flowability, thereby being suitably applicable to armoring material for electronic appliances. CONSTITUTION: The rubber-modified polystyrene comprises: (A) 60-99wt% of a rubber-modified styrene resin; (B) 0-20wt% of a polyphenylene ether resin; and (C) 1-20wt% of a phosphoric ester compound comprising 40-100wt% of a diphosphoric ester compound having a cyclic alkyl group, represented by a general formula 1 and 0-60wt% of an aromatic phosphoric ester compound, represented by a general formula 2. In the formula 1, each R1 and R2 is independently hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl group; and X is C6-20 aryl group or C6-20 aryl group having a substituted alkyl group, which is derived from resorcinol, hydroquinol or dialcohol of bisphenol-A. In the formula 2, each R3, R4 and R5 is independently hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl group; X is the same as defined in formula 1; and n is 0-4. |
