METHOD OF PROTECTING INNER WALL SURFACE OF HUME PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of permanently maintaining a Hume (R) pipe in an excellent state by stopping the further deterioration of an inner wall surface of the existing Hume pipe.

SOLUTION: The inner wall of an existing concrete pipe sewer 1 is uniformly cut off throughout the entire inner wall surface to such a depth that a deteriorated portion 2 is completely removed to disclose non-deteriorated concrete surface 1a. The non-deteriorated concrete surface 1a is covered by laying down and fixedly fitting in order the ceramic panel pieces 4 of a specified size having a curvature along the curved surface thereof onto the non-deteriorated concrete surface.
