<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-density iron-based alloy material for golf club heads capable of providing an excellent forged surface applicable to the hitting face of drivers by altering mechanical properties by properly modifying an alloy design and controlling conditions in a manufacturing process in such a way that the material is made applicable particularly to cast or forged club heads and has≤6.6g/cm<SP>3</SP>density and a high rust-preventive effect. <P>SOLUTION: The low-density iron-based alloy material for golf club heads has a composition consisting of, by weight, 25.0 to 31.0% Mn, 7.0 to 10.0% Al, 0.90 to 1.10% C, 5 to 7% Cr, 0.8 to 1.5% Si and the balance Fe. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
