FIELD: designing and manufacture of compressor units. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed load-bearing casing includes external shell with two circular flanges and internal T-shaped shell provided with radial profiled load-bearing struts which are connected with internal shell and are provided with transversal shelves rigidly connected with mating slots found in external shell. Slots of external shell are directed along longitudinal axis of casing. Non-detachable internal shell has mating radial profiled slots for load-bearing struts. Joints of transversal shelves with slots of external shell and profiled load-bearing struts with radial profiled slots of internal shell are made by welding or soldering. Circular flanges of external shell may be located in area of load-bearing struts and welded or soldered joint may be made over entire contour of joint. ^ EFFECT: enhanced rigidity and strength of joint at minimum mass. ^ 3 cl, 3 dwg
