PURPOSE: A head for a golf putter is provided to conduct a stable and accurate putting motion even under an environment with a bad lawn status by putting a golf ball being in a reverse rotation. CONSTITUTION: The head for a golf putter comprises: a tip(12) formed at a height a quarter the diameter of a golf ball from the bottom surface; a sloping part(10) getting increasingly higher from the tip(12) to a shaft(1) side; a plane part(11) extending in a vertical upper side from the region where the sloping part(10) ends; a uneven part(10a) formed on the region where the sloping part(10) starts; and a rounding part(13) rounded from the tip(12) to the bottom surface. The length of the sloping part(10) is set in a manner that the shortest horizontal clearance between the plane part(11) and the outer peripheral surface of the golf ball is 8 to 10mm when the golf gal contacts the uneven part(10a).
