PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for correcting a moving distance of a laser beam are provided to constantly maintain the moving distance of the laser beam by controlling the moving distance of the laser beam using a linear motor. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for correcting a moving distance of a laser beam includes an input/output unit(21), a control unit(22), first and second drivers(23,24) and a linear motor(26). The input/output unit(21) receives a working order from a user and displays a working process. The control unit(22) generates a signal to radiate a laser beam(32) according to the working order of the user and calculates a moving speed of a forcer(26-2) in order to control a process route of the laser beam(32). The linear motor(26) is driven by means of the first and second drivers(23,24).
