摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately decide the presence of a power generation margin by a generator that is required to achieve the charging of a second battery without causing the performance of a first battery to deteriorate, with regard to a vehicular power supply control device. <P>SOLUTION: A lead-acid battery is connected directly to an alternator that generates electric power by rotations of an engine, and a lithium-ion battery is connected via a DC/DC converter. Revolutions of the engine are detected at prescribed periods, and a conduction duty in an alternator is detected at a period longer than the detection period of the engine speed. After the detection of the conduction duty, the duty is corrected for each detection of the engine speed by referring to a prescribed map based on the engine speed, and the conduction duty actually occurring to the alternator is estimated. Then, the DC/DC converter is controlled to allow or to prevent the charging of the lithium ion battery based on whether the calculated conduction duty is lower than a prescribed value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p>
