PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction cooker capable of cooking with sufficiently high heating power and at high temperatures while securing safety against abnormal heating or the like. SOLUTION: This induction cooker has a control circuit 4. When a temperature-sensing pan having a self-temperature-control function to which the Curie temperature of magnetic shunt alloys is applied is used as an object to be heated, the control circuit 4 detects that the object to be heated is a temperature-sensing pan based on changes in the current supply state before the temperature of the cooking surface of the object 3 reaches a predetermined Curie temperature, and accordingly, the circuit 4 changes settings of operating conditions of "small object detecting function", "continuous power supply preventing function", and "excessive temperature rise preventing function".
